Zenith is a Swiss luxury watch brand founded by Georges Favre-Jacot in 1865 at Le Locle, Switzerland. During his early years, Georges Favre-Jacot was an apprentice in the watchmaking industry. At the age of 22, he began to make watches in his workshop in Le Locle. He named his company Zenith. LVMH later bought Zenith in 1999, and the current CEO is Jean-Claude Biver. However, Zenith’s watches are still made in-house in Le Locle, Switzerland. They are credited for developing the first-ever integrated automatic chronograph movement found in the El Primero. The movement has a high level of precision with a high frequency reaching over 35,000 vibrations per hour, a one of its kind. Zenith also has a record-setting number of awards that surpasses 2000.
