2025 is shaping up to be an incredible year for the world of watches, with some major milestones and anniversaries on the horizon. From legendary brands celebrating impressive histories to iconic models marking big birthdays, there's plenty to get excited about. Here are 9 watch anniversaries you won’t want to miss this year.
Vacheron Constantin – 270 Years of Excellence
Vacheron Constantin is one of the few brands that shares details about its anniversary celebrations, and honestly, with 270 years under its belt, they’ve earned the right to do so! The year kicked off with the launch of the Historiques 222 in steel, featuring a stunning matte blue dial. If this is any indication of what’s to come, we’re in for some exciting new releases from the brand.

Audemars Piguet – 150 Years of Innovation
Audemars Piguet is celebrating a big milestone in 2025—its 150th anniversary! This comes after Ilaria Resta took over as CEO, following François-Henry Bennahmias. Although she’s kept a relatively low profile, this could be the year she makes a statement. While we probably won’t see entirely new models, we’re expecting to see more variations of the Royal Oak, Royal Oak Offshore, and Royal Oak Concept. And hey, maybe a collaboration with a superhero or artist? What do you think?

Rolex Datejust – 80 Years of Timeless Elegance
Another icon turning the big 8-0 is the Rolex Datejust. As Rolex proudly claims, it was the “first self-winding wrist chronometer to indicate the date in a window on the dial,” a feature that changed the game back in the day. It’s been an enduring symbol of Rolex’s craftsmanship, and while we likely won’t see any major changes for this anniversary, expect a few fresh dial options to celebrate the occasion.

Glashütte Original & Nomos – 35 Years of Craftsmanship
Both Glashütte Original and Nomos are celebrating 35 years in 2025—though, in Glashütte Original’s case, their history dates back much further. 1990 was a key year, as it marked the brand’s registration after German reunification. We’re eager to see if Glashütte Original will continue the tradition of beautiful designs like the PanoLunarInverse, which wowed us last year.

Omega & James Bond – 30 Years of 007
This year marks 30 years of Omega's partnership with James Bond. Sure, the Bond franchise is a little quiet at the moment (who’s going to be the next 007?), but that doesn’t stop us from dreaming about the next Omega Seamaster that will make its way onto the big screen.

Roger Dubuis – 30 Years of Bold Designs
Roger Dubuis is celebrating three decades of groundbreaking watchmaking, and the brand is still going strong. Known for its striking, architectural designs and skeletonized movements, Roger Dubuis continues to impress. The Excalibur Monotourbillon in titanium, for example, really made waves last year with its bold and minimalist style.

Baume & Mercier – 95 Years of Luxury
Baume & Mercier is turning 95 in 2025, and we’re excited to see what the brand has in store for this milestone year. We were all surprised by the Riviera Perpetual Calendar 10742 last year, and we’re hoping for more showstoppers when we see the brand at Watches and Wonders this April.

IWC Da Vinci – 40 Years of Iconic Design
It’s been 40 years since IWC introduced the Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar IW3750, and we think this quirky classic deserves a proper comeback. With the trend of re-editions still going strong, we wouldn’t be surprised to see something special from IWC to honor this iconic piece.

Girard-Perregaux – 50 Years of the Laureato
Although Girard-Perregaux is set to celebrate its 235th anniversary next year, 2025 marks a major milestone for the brand's Laureato collection, which turns 50! Initially launched with a quartz movement, the Laureato has since evolved into a mechanical powerhouse. After the impressive titanium chronograph Ti49 and the stylish green and blue-dialed Laureatos in rose gold, we can’t wait to see what the next 50 years will bring.

These anniversaries are definitely worth keeping an eye on. Whether you're a longtime fan or just starting to explore the world of luxury watches, 2025 is going to be a year full of incredible moments!
